6. Essays
Based on a control matrix, specialists in the region, gathered, summarized, and analyzed data, with an emphasis on the geographical areas under study. In conclusion, they produced six essays that answer the three main questions being queried: What are the structures and contexts in which the communications of emigrants or transnational communities operate? How do transnational communities communicate? What experiences, papers, organizations, and groups promote or are doing interesting, innovative work to promote transnational communication in the Western Hemisphere?
Due to the complexity and idiosyncrasies that Mexico has regarding the topic of migration and to having established three places under study (Oaxaca, Puebla / Veracruz, and Zacatecas), it was obvious to us that we needed additional fieldwork in these zones. That is why a seventh essay with the conclusions of this particular process appears in the list below.
