In person at MCSP office - 1776 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 300, Washington DC
In 1988, there were 365,000 cases of wild polio virus across the developing world. In 2017, there were only 22. As polio incidence has fallen and eradication has inched nearer, there has been an increasing emphasis on critical reflection to understand what has been learned from the various polio strategies and programs, with the hope that the experience could be helpful to support accelerated progress on other health and development issues.
Please join USAID's flagship Maternal and Child Survival Program for a webinar on "The Polio Journey: 30 Years of Experience" on Wednesday, July 11 from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM to share the lessons learned from USAID-supported polio programming, and for an interactive discussion to show how the best practices and effective strategies might be applied to development issues. The sharing of this experience, successes and challenges, is in the spirit of providing strategic insights that might inform those engaged in the field of reproductive, newborn, and child health.
Please attend in person at the MCSP office at 1776 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 300, Washington DC and join us afterward for lunch and an opportunity for further discussion.
We're accepting questions you may want our speakers to address in advance of this event, so please submit your questions to Kate Bagshaw at Kate.Bagshaw@mcsprogram.org
Onsite space is limited to 70 persons, so please only RSVP if you intend to attend in person. Online access will also be available.
